Welcome to the counseling corner! I am excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Mrs. Eggers and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the position of School Adjustment Counselor at the F. T. Bresnehan School in Newburyport, MA. I have worked in the Newburyport school system for over fifteen years. I am available to consult with parents, teachers and children regarding social/emotional issues related to school. What is a School Adjustment Counselor?
A School Adjustment Counselor is a licensed mental health professional working in a school setting. Counselors work with a variety of student issues as a regular education resource. Similar to the school nurse who deals with physical health concerns of students, a school counselor deals with social and emotional concerns of students to support students success in the school environment.

My Services Include, but are not limited to:
- Individual and group counseling to students, who are either on an education plan or parents have authorized counseling services.
- Advocating for the student at school.
- Anti-bullying and Social Emotional learning in the classroom
- Working with teachers and parents to provide helpful suggestions and support to student needs.
- Consults with parents, teachers, administrators, and specialists
- Helps in identifying academic and social/emotional needs of children.
- Provides parents with resources and information.
- Conflict resolution for students
- Lunch Bunch/Friendship Groups/Newcomer's Groups
